Unit 3 Homework: Write two For and Against Essays


Today you will write two essays in class. Work with a partner in TitanPad so that you can edit each other’s work.

You will email you teacher two titan pad links.

Each link should include the outline and the essay.

Essay 1: Should Museums be free or should visitors pay for admission? Discuss.

Essay 2: Choose from the following six topics:

1) Should students be given freedom to decide what they study in school or should it be decided for them? Discuss.

3) Should all students have personal computers in the classroom? Discuss.
4) Should 16-year-olds be legally allowed to drive? Discuss.
5) Should violent video games be banned? Discuss.
6) Should schools have dress codes or should students be allowed to wear whatever they want? Discuss.


For help with Essay 1, you can use page 109 in the Reading and Writing book to write the introduction and pages 103 to write your body paragraphs. You can also use the example essay about teaching history on page 95 for help.
